Senior Structural Engineer
£50k-£56k
Hitchin, Herts

Do you live within commuting distance of Hitchin? Do you have your own car?

Would you be interested to work for a small firm on challenging projects with some major international project work?

This role would involve working across two business streams, one is for designing buildings structures involving commercial and residential buildings and the other involves working on multi million pound industrial projects normally involving power stations, often overseas. This work currently involves demolition of huge power stations, reports and recommendations and advising huge power networks, as well as other large projects in the energy sector involving wind and solar. There could also be some finite element analysis work involving large steelwork structures such as balconies, balustrades and connection work for fixing and designs for major clients such as LUL.

You will never be bored!

The business has less than 10 staff and are a very busy, down to earth, and close knit team of engineers. You should be happy to fit in to this environment and be keen to work in such a varied role. The option for international travel would also be available, if desired.
Ideally you will be Chartered CEng. Own car is essential as offices are not near public transport.

A future Directorship could be available for the right candidate.

In addition to basic salary there is 20 days holiday + 3 days at xmas + birthday leave (increases further with length of service), Monthly office luncheons, Health insurance and Pension scheme.
