We have a fantastic opportunity to join us at our Manchester Plant as an Energy Engineer! In this role, you will have visibility in driving the plant towards net zero carbon through the development and delivery of the site NRC plan, whilst building knowledge and capability within the team.

Here's a taste of what you will be doing!

  • Implementation of Manchester plant sustainability and NRC programmes (energy reduction, water and waste) to achieve plans towards net zero CO2. Supporting building of capability of wider plant teams to deliver the plant sustainability and NRC programmes
  • Measuring, monitoring and analysis of data to identify where new technologies can be applied or savings made
  • Actively supports or owns NRC projects that support the plant's goal to reduce carbon emissions as well as assisting in the development of natural resource conservation (NRC) strategy and implements that have been agreed
  • Build relationships with external environmental bodies and leading specialist technology organisations
  • Ensure compliance with environmental and engineering legislative obligations and standards
  • Deputises for SCE Manager on Manchester plant in Global and European NRC Community of Practice


About you!

  • Engineering or Energy Management degree required
  • 3 years' experience within an energy management or engineering role
  • Project Management experience would be desirable
  • An Environmental Management qualification would be advantageous
