You'll be working on...(what your role and responsibility is)
  • The role is managing Earthwork schemes on the Network Rail Wessex region. (Hampshire, Dorset, Devon, Wilshire, Berkshire). These will include drainage, embankment and cutting stabilisation.
  • To be a working Manager to ensure the team work in a safe, profitable, planned manner to achieve the programme and deliver a quality product and service.
  • You will be delivering the project works from start to finish and carrying out safety and quality audits
  • To develop and maintain positive relationships.
  • To promote and protect the Octavius Infrastructure reputation whilst remaining customer focused and in line with Company policies and values.
  • To lead by example by engendering the collaborative culture throughout the site team, including suppliers and customers, ensuring that everyone works towards our common vision of a vibrant delivery mechanism that delivers on promises, chosen by customers and has safety at its core.
  • Be responsible for safety first culture onsite.


About you...(what you are skilled at)
  • Highly organised, with excellent planning and time management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities without compromising on safety, standards and quality
  • Highly motivated, results-oriented with a positive outlook
  • Safety first mindset, with the ability to assess and mitigate risks including those associated with working within the railway environment
  • Technically savvy, with good working knowledge of Microsoft Project
  • Problem solver with the ability to both challenge designs and produce/explain accurate plans and drawings


You'll bring...(your wealth of experience & qualifications)
  • Applicants will need to have a civils background on Network Rail infrastructure and have a good understanding of all elements within the various works.
  • Ideally you'll have worked for a for a tier 1 contracting group or sub-contractor.
  • HNC or Degree educated in Civil Engineering
  • SMSTS
  • PTS
