Graduate Environmental Engineer

Penguin Recruitment are excited to be assisting a multidisciplinary engineering and design consultancy in their search for a Graduate Environmental Engineer in Manchester.

The successful candidate will join a highly skilled and experienced waste and resource management team. Applicants are required to have a strong academic background which includes a BSc, BEng or higher qualification in relevant field (geology, environmental science, engineering geology, civil engineering etc) and a full UK clean driving license.

The main responsibilities of the role include:

Engineering projects on large landfill sites
Design of basal and capping containment systems
Design of landfill gas extraction boreholes and associated infrastructure
Groundwater and gas monitoring
Site supervision and investigation
Environmental monitoring and reporting
Working closely with geoenvironmental team
