I am looking to speak with a Geotechnical Engineer located in Enfield to come and join a dynamic consultancy in London to work on a range of complex geotechnical and enviornmental engineering projects through multiple sectors.
This role Graduate Geotechnical Engineer role is a combination of site and office-based work, predominantly based on the specification, operation, management and interpretation of geotechnical and geo-environmental investigation and technical reporting. You will also gain experience in the planning and implementation of contaminated land investigations, providing ground improvement advice and remediation options.
As a Geotechnical Engineer will also have the opportunity to get involved on slope stability assesments, foundation recommendations and bearing capacity calculations, assessments, and recommendations.
As a Geotechnical Engineer, it is expected that:
Obtain a 2:1 In Geology, Geotechnical Engineering or Civil Engineering. Ideally with an MSc in Engineering Geology.
Between 2 and 6 years experience within a Geo-Environmental/Geotechnical Consultancy or Contractor
Experience managing Ground investigations using various drilling techniques
Experience report writing, ideally interpretive.
