Graduate Structural Engineer

Come and join our team and become a key part of our growing business. We specialise domestic structural engineering projects such as bespoke new build houses, loft conversions, extensions and domestic alterations.

As a new employee you would be responsible for structural drawings and calculations for small domestic projects. You would be involved in the whole project cycle from the initial fee quote, followed by the site visit, preliminary design, detailed design and delivery on site. The small domestic projects provide a great learning opportunity and stepping stone to larger design based architectural projects.

We work with a number of the top local architectural companies and you will have the opportunity to work on exciting design with RIBA award winning architectural practices.

Our friendly office is located within 5 minutes walk of Bristol Temple Meads train station. We regularly host company and client social events and we promote a relaxed and positive atmosphere in the office.

We are led by the directors Tom Goss and Ross Parker who are both chartered engineers and easily accessible to provide training and support with day to day work as well as progression through to chartership with ICE or IStructE.

Salary:

£30k - £40k per annum
Up to 15% performance related bonus
Regular pay reviews in line with performance and development
Required Skills / Attributes:

3 years or more relevant experience
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Free hand sketching
Technical drawing using AutoCAD / Revit
Fundamental understanding of basic structural engineering principles
Structural steel design
Structural timber design
