Main Purpose of Role
To provide support to the structures team in all aspects of work that they are responsible for. This includes design reviews, Design concessions, tower and structural assessments, validation of designs produced by suppliers and development of new products when required
The role is required to coordinate, check and distribute various design documentation across the team. Review and support in concession appraisals and helpdesk enquiries
To work with and support the wider engineering team on various activities. This includes supporting the resolution of help desk queries, collating and reporting site information and extracting information from in-house site management tool Sierra.
The role will also be required to review and upload documentation to SharePoint and communicate updates to design documents via the engineering communication mediums
Development is also a key part of the role, which includes to learn and understand the basics of telecom site design and development a core basic understanding of structural, civil and electrical engineering.

Key Responsibilities
Structural Analysis Shadow structures team to gain knowledge in various aspects of telecoms civil and structural engineering.
Support with provision of calculations and design.
Undertaking site visits.
Team Support & Administration Support and assist help desk enquires.
Provide administrative support to the structures team.
Assist with the auditing of site designs, collating and organising design information.
Stakeholder Engagement Distribute design documentation via communication mediums.
Review and manipulate existing reports to extract data required by the team.

Person Specification (Expertise)
Basic knowledge and understanding of the telecoms industry, e.g. who are the UK Mobile Network operators
Any experience related to works in the field of civil or structural engineering or the telecommunication industry but not essential.
Degree relevant to Civil or Structural Engineering. The degree should be an accredited degree with the Engineering Council
Good IT skills, in particular the use of all Microsoft office applications
Good communication skills
Capable of undertaking climbing and or rooftop, working at heights training.
Structure/civil Engineering
Ambition to achieve accreditation with either ICE or IStructE
A lot of travel involved in the role visiting sites, training will not be purely based in an office, to review work that is taking place or has been completed.
