Our Client is one of the world's leading design consultancies within the Infrastructure and Environmental arena and they are looking to expand within the UK with an ambitious business plan.
This opportunity is to work from any of the offices within the UK (on a hybrid basis), on projects in Australia and New Zealand. This is a unique opportunity to gain experience you may not already have. It does as well provide the optional experience in travelling to different countries working on exciting projects and dealing with clients and colleagues from different environments.
This role is specialising in Water projects, so experience within the Water Sector is important. Wastewater experience will be an advantage.
Responsibilities:
* You are likely to work on a portfolio of different projects and will apply your acquired skills and knowledge in a range of environments.
* Successful contribution to and delivery of projects in a team environment,
* Personal responsibility and ownership of projects
* Technical and commercial delivery
* Management, liaison and co-ordination of the Technicians in the team
* Production of deliverables to programme timescales
* Supervision, knowledge sharing and mentoring of less experienced members of the team
* Interpretation and application of relevant client, industry and GHD standards
Specific experience, skills & knowledge
* Knowledge of design in common building materials including steel, concrete, timber and masonry
* Experience of working within a 3D design environment is essential and an ability to work to BIM protocols would be desirable.
* Application of Engineering principles
* Design Development
* Computer Aided Design and Modelling
Qualifications / skills
* Honours degree in relevant discipline required
* Near Chartered status (MICE, MIStructE).* Project management skills and ownership of work.
* Strong client relationship management skills.
* Strong presentation and communication skills, written and verbal.
* Problem solving
