Associate Structural Engineer - Bristol | £60,000 - £70,000 DOE
Associate Structural Engineer looking for a new challenge at a multi-disciplinary engineering consultancy that works on a wide range of projects, varying in value? Looking to work somewhere renowned for innovation and ability to punch above their weight?
We are currently helping this multidisciplinary consultancy recruit an Associate Structural Engineer, to join their Bristol team, working on a range of projects, such as student and elderly care accommodation, residential builds, 20+ story buildings, educational facilities and more!
You'd be joining a small collaborative team of Engineers and Technicians who consistently work together to punch above their weight, working on some major projects with values of up to £60 million. Additionally, you can expect to work in tandem with their Cardiff office on several projects. This alongside the varied projects keeps the job fresh and exciting.
The consultancy also looks to be as sustainable as possible, focusing on reducing their impact on the environment at every stage of a project. The successful candidate will have experience working with a range of structural materials across different sectors. Some additional requirements are listed below:
MEng degree level (or equivalent)
Chartered or very close.
Experience running a team on building structure projects.
Extensive practical experience in structural engineering within a consultancy environment.
Well-versed in a range of software packages including AutoCAD, Revit, Robot, Grasshopper, Tekla or TEDDS.
Experience taking large-scale projects from initial concept, through appropriate approval processes, to detailed design for construction.
Strong organisational and planning skills with a passion for sustainable design.
Several years of experience. Work-life balance and making the company a nice place to work is at the forefront of this consultancy's plans. You can expect a social environment, with regular events being organized by the consultancy. Some previous events include go-karting, team BBQs, paintballing, yoga classes, and classes on new languages. Other stand-out perks include a competitive company contribution pension, 25 days of holiday plus birthdays off, and company holidays.
The successful Associate Structural Engineer can also expect to receive support with continued professional development through internal and external training courses, new professional or academic qualifications, and clear routes for progression.
