A national leading consultancy in Condition Monitoring, Reliability & Integrity services is currently in requirement of a bright & ambitious engineer to join the businesses Asset Integrity division to support their various technical engineering projects spanning across large scale manufacturing and Oil & Gas industries.

The business is seeking someone to develop with experience using instrumentation and data capture points for acquisition, processing, analysis & recommendations on structural fatigue - a good thinker, someone who's commercially minded with good attention to detail, who can bring engineering solutions to the table for discussion on solving problems within structural integrity.

The team is made up of Mechanical Engineers conducting modal analysis / FEA's within the design space, seeking someone more instrumentation oriented to fulfil the skill-gap within the team, preferably from a development/test/asset integrity engineering background, seeking an individual knowledgeable of fitting instruments (i.e. strain gauges) & tracking data received.

Overall responsible for the mitigation of vibration induced fatigue & acoustic anomalies.

Principal responsibilities:

Visit client sites, both on/offshore, to provide consultancy support in the areas of: vibration analysis & structural assessments, implementation of design and data capture points for integrity monitoring.
Liaising with clients to determine scope of projects, preparing technical / commercial proposals.
Preparation of project documentation: Method Statements, Risk Assessments, Job Specifications.
Liaise with business departments to arrange: procurement/setting up of equipment, travel planning & accommodation.
Use of specialist software to develop practical solutions e.g. CAD/FEA/ODS.
Project Management on-site, instrumentation use (e.g. strain gauge) & data collection as required.
Analysis of data & presentation of findings within report writing, and providing recommended actions to the client.
Desired Experience / Qualifications:

Mechanical/Electrical Engineering background with 2+ years experience within industry.
HNC/HND/Degree - Mechanical Engineering / Instrumentation & Control.
Experience in application & use of instrumentation & measurement techniques.
Desirable experience in structural design & development.
