Working as part of the Delivery Team under the Delivery Manager. The role will involve enabling projects to be delivered with respect to technical specifications, client needs and the needs and regulations of other stakeholders.
Receipt of needs from Anglian Water (primarily planned)
Development of least Whole Life Cost (WLC) solutions
Ensuring solutions are up to all required standards and regulationsYou will be required to support the Delivery Manager in the delivery of Emergency work in times of high workload or resource shortages. Provide regular updates on progress (time, cost and quality) to the Programme Manager and other key internal and external stakeholders.
You will need to ensure the "Project Diary" for work is kept updated and capture outputs in the corporate systems. This role requires you to support the capture of asset changes (decommissioning, alteration, creation) in the relevant corporate systems.
As the Project Engineer you will be required to:
Receive data and assessments of risk associated with Planned needs
Challenge data and analyse risks to establish clear cost and risk benefit proposition
Develop projects in accordance with the agreed governance of the IOS Process
Create modelled solution within Asset+ giving the Final Business Plan (FBP) cost and carbon baseline
Lead the completion of Root Cause Analysis where appropriate
Lead Optioneering where appropriate
Comply with the corporate Risk and Value Process
Calculate Risk Index to ensure the data and process are robust and auditable
Receive prioritised projects
Develop solutions in line with corporate governance processes
Ensure standard products and other technical standards (e.g. minimum asset standards) are adhered to
Support the capture of outputs in the relevant corporate systems
Support the capture of asset changes (decommissioning, alteration, creation) in the relevant corporate systems
Adhere to all relevant governances especially with regard to authorisation to spend and periodic review
Support Programme Manager in representation at TIG and Programme/Project Boards
Develop deliverables documentation in support of the governance processes.
Do you have an A level or equivalent qualification?
Do you have an appropriate professional engineering qualification?
Have you gained any Operational Water experience?
Are you a strong negotiator?
Do you have a basic understanding of the regulatory processes that govern AW's IOS Initiative?
Have you the knowledge and experience of customer management, external stakeholder management, planning & resourcing?
