Award winning International multi-disciplinary consultancy based in central London are looking for a solid Senior Geotechnical Engineer that specialises in challenging design, that can drive projects forward within the heavy civils and transportation sector.
You will be sat within an award winning specialist Geotechnical team, delivering complex geotechnical design projects withint he UK and oversses.
As a Senior Geotechnical Engineer, you must be able to provide evidence that you are extremely strong within the procurement and planning of geotechnical ground investigations, Interpretive reporting, GIR, BIA, ground movement analysis, reports which detail recommended remedial works and all other associated geotechnical reporting.
Your design responsibilities as a Senior Geotechnical Engineer will surround foundations for deep basements, piled foundations, retaining walls, slopes, soil nailing, grouting etc. Using most industry modelling and finite ellement software.
Requirements to be considered for the Senior Geotechnical Engineer role:
1st degree in Civil Engineering along with an MSc in Geotechnical Engineering, Engineering Geology or Soil Mechanics;
Chartered or working towards full professional chartership;
Will have proven previous experience of undertaking: geotechnical desk studies; procuring & supervising Ground Investigations,
Demonstrable experience of geotechnical design together with a familiarity of design submission documentation. This includes a demonstrable understanding of the underlying principles and a knowledge of Eurocode 7
Proven demonstration delivering high quality geotechnical reports.
Ability to use a range of geotechnical software for the design of civil engineering projects including the following: deep and shallow foundations (including pile group analysis); embedded and gravity retaining walls; earthworks/slope stability; reinforced earthworks etc.
