A GENUINE Europe wide market leader in industrial deconstruction (demolition/remediation of redundant power stations, chemical plants and industrial facilities) is looking for a structural engineer who can apply their skills and experience into bringing a structure down rather than up. Principally, you'll be tasked with meticlous planning on pre-weakening methods so the structure fails in simple terms.
Your structural engineering work is critical in the safe dismantling of a power station, as an example, which are brought down in part via explosives. Knowing when and how the steel structure will fail is vital in the process of deconstructing the facility.
As a structural engineer, you'll likely be all about structures going up, so this role is challenging on many levels, most of all the process of planning to fail!
