Senior Structural Engineer

Blue Water Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Senior Structural Engineer based in South Wales.

Our client is a forward thinking, innovative civil & structural engineering consultancy that are looking to add an experienced Senior Structural Engineer to join their growing team.

The ideal candidate will already be working in a similar role and can expect to assist with:

* Delivery of concept design, detailed design (including full tender and construction packages) project documentation, design calculations and sketches.

* Attending client, design and site meetings.

* Undertaking structural / site surveys following up with structural reports.

* Liaising with statutory authorities, Architects, M&E consultants and contractors.

We are looking for someone with the following attributes:

* A minimum of 5 years engineering experience who is qualified with a BEng/MEng in Civil or

* Structural Engineering and Chartered / working towards Chartered Membership of the IStructE/ICE.

* Excellent knowledge of Engineering Design Principles, competent in design of timber, masonry, steel and composite construction to both British Standards and Eurocodes.

* Working understanding of Tekla design software (or similar) is preferred such as Tedds, Structural Designer, Portal frame, connection designer.

* Ability to produce written reports.

* A good working knowledge and experience of Microsoft Office. Some basic IT knowledge will be essential due to the working from home element.

* Knowledge of AutoCAD and Revit will be beneficial but not essential.
