Senior Structural Engineer

We are working with a prestigious client thatspecialise in Civil and Structural Engineering with the vast majority of their projects being on behalf of housing associations and local authorities.

Key Responsibilities:

Civil and Structural design, preparation of supporting calculations

Managing the preparation of technical drawings for a wide range of projects

Assisting with day-to-day commercial management of structural engineering commissions to time and budget targets.

Supervision, knowledge sharing and mentoring of less experienced members of the team

Application of Engineering principles

Computer Aided Design and Modelling and Design Development

Develop concept design and fit for purpose engineering solution for projects

Produce and/or approve project technical specifications

Manage detailed design activities in accordance with design authority standards

Approve as built drawings

Specify and provide technical supervision of commissioning and/or decommissioning

Liaise and consult with other engineers and managers

Maintain site configuration control throughout project lifecycle

Review on-site and off-site events and root cause analysis to promote improved working practices

Responsibilities:

Minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role

Experience working on residential projects

Working knowledge of both timber and stell structures

Full driving licence

Knowledgeable in theory and practical engineering process

Ability to work in a team
