Lead Civil and Structural Engineer/ Engineering Manager

Location: Warrington

Salary: Negotiable DOE

Hybrid working - 3 days onsite/2 days remote

Duties & Responsibilities:

The role is split into two parts 60% Lead Engineer and 40% Engineering Manager.

Engineering Manager:

You will support the Lead Engineering Manager in growing the teams to support the projects.
You will manage all engineers within your field and complete holiday requests, expenses, and performance reviews.
You will be responsible for all proposals and estimates for your area.
You shall be accountable for all recruitment for your team.
You will be capable of organising training plans and providing development to engineers.
You will be accountable for managing the quality of engineering and design within the projects.
Lead Engineer:

You and your team of engineers and designers are responsible for the Civil and Structural design for EPCM or EPC projects.
Projects will range across the full lifecycle from concept to commissioning, in both green and brownfield applications
The projects will vary in complexity and size, delivered for all the major sectors (Oil & Gas, Nuclear, Energy, Utilities, Chemicals, Petrochemicals and Food)
You will be responsible for managing and completing the Civil and Structural engineering and design within budget and planning, including change control.
You will be comfortable in manging the expectations of the client on the project development.
You will participate in internal and external design reviews, and you are responsible for the design acceptance by the client.
Make decisions on issues, providing knowledgeable technical support within Civil and Structural Engineering.
You shall be able to effectively conduct, check and approve Engineering and Design estimates, control and report all costs on allocated projects in terms of progress, scope change and man hours.
Experience & Qualifications:

More than 5 years of experience as Lead Engineer Process, in multi-discipline projects.
Experience in managing and implementing strict quality control and procedures.
Broad knowledge of Process engineering and design, but you also have a sound knowledge of the other disciplines (Automation, Civil, Structural, EC&I and Process)
You shall be able to forecast and control resources to ensure projects are fully utilised and recruitment is planned.
Chartered or Incorporated Engineer (Preferred)
MEng / BEng in Civil and Structural Engineering
Experienced with the production of Civil and Structural specifications, scopes of work, calculations, drawings and schedules
Experienced with the main Civil and Structural design packages including, AutoCAD, AutoCAD 3D, Revvit, Staad Pro, Tedds and all Microsoft office packages.
You can identify growth within the company with support to sales, business management, company procedures and strategies
You shall coordinate and report the progress of your discipline to the Lead Engineering Manager.
You can lead and motivate your team so that they achieve the targets.
You can chair design review meetings.
