Contract Civil Engineer (Drainage / Highways) - Manchester

This privately owned multi disciplinary business has been steadily growing for the past 3 years.
Their Manchester design studio seeks an Civil Engineer on contract to assist in the production of schematic/concept designs for highways, drainage and infrastructure projects within defined project timescales.
Role :
Undertaking drainage and highway designs using WINDES Microdrainage, PDS and Civils 3D
Directing technicians in the production of AutoCAD and Civils 3D drawing information undertaking and quality reviews of drawn information prior to issue.
Responsible for the analysis and design of drainage and highways, progressing to detailed design and approval
Ability to produce drawings using Autocad software
Visiting sites and attending site meetings
Involvement in internal project design meetings.
Attend external design meetings with clients and other design team members
Prepare correspondence and reports
Knowledge :
Must hold a degree in Civil Engineering.
Determination to find solutions to problems.
Ability to communicate in a clear and concise way with colleagues and clients.
Must hold a valid driving licence.
Strong interpersonal skills.
Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues, clients and prospective clients.
This position could actually last more than 12 months as further project roles are awarded throughout 2018.
