Senior / Principal Civil Engineer

An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Civil Engineer to join an established multi-disciplinary consultancy in the Bristol Area.You will be joining a company that has 5 offices spread across the UK, however they are looking for you to join the Bristol office, which currently has a small team of 6. You would be the only Civil Engineer in this team, the others being Structural. This means you should be capable of working unsupervised, although you will be given support by the other offices remotely.The reason for the vacancy is because they are looking for someone locally who is capable of business development in the Southwest, as opposed to having Engineers from the other offices take care of this. You should also be a hands-on Engineer who is experienced with a range of Civil Infrastructure design, particularly private and adoptable drainage design. Sectors they work in include residential, education, community and health, heritage, university, and colleges.Software you should be proficient in is MicroDrainage / Flow, and AutoCAD.Although you will be the only Civil Engineer to begin with, there is scope here for the right candidate to really make this division their own, eventually there is the plan for you to have a team of Engineers and Technicians working below you on a variety of projects.If you would like to hear more about this position, please contact George Cartwright at Calibre Search, or click apply.
