Civil Engineer

We are currently looking for a Civil Engineer.

Working hours:

As a Civil Engineer, you'll be required to work Monday to Friday

The successful Civil Engineer will be offered:

• Salary up to £35,000

As a Civil Engineer, your role will involve the following:

• Preparation of flood risk assessments (FRA's), Drainage Strategies and calculations for planning and other statutory consents.
• Undertaking investigations, feasibility studies, preliminary and detailed design, site inspections, data collection and analysis, and works/construction inspection and supervision.
• Production of levels, drainage, and external works packages for projects of varying scales from initial concept through to completion
• Working closely with other professionals on multi-discipline projects
• Attend external meetings with clients and fellow professionals
• Provide a day-to-day client interface including conducting site visits for technical assessment or problem-solving

To be considered for the Civil Engineer role you must have:

• Knowledge of our industry-standard design software packages AutoCAD, Civil 3D and MicroDrainage
• Design of external works for private sites including vertical and horizontal setting out
• Liaising with both internal and external bodies, including planning authorities, statutory undertakers, and national bodies such as the Environment Agency
• Delivering schemes with section agreements (S38/S278/S104)
• Experience in a similar role, ideally within a private practice working on predominantly private developments
