Senior Structural Engineer

We are currently looking for a Senior Structural Engineer in South East London.

Working hours:

As a Senior Structural Engineer, you'll be required to work Monday to Friday

The successful Senior Structural Engineer will be offered:

• £45,000- £65,000

To be considered for the Senior Structural Engineer role you must have:

• First Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
• Member of the Institution of Civil Engineers or Institution of Structural Engineers
• Experience in leading a team including junior engineers and technicians
• Significant design experience in building structures projects in the UK
• Competent and reliable designer in structural steelwork, reinforced concrete, masonry and timber
• Familiar and empathetic with all forms of building construction
• Experience in refurbishment and change of use designs as well as new build work
• Hold current UK driving licence

As a Senior Structural Engineer, your role will involve the following:

• Manage projects from inception to completion to ensure that deliverables are issued to the project programme, to the required quality standard and within the budget and time allocation set by the Partner
• Report to and take direction from Partner/Associate in the Civil and Structural engineering group
• Act as lead or sole designer as appropriate to the size of the project
• Exercise the skill, care and judgement to be expected of a senior engineer to ensure that:
• civil and structural engineering designs for which you are responsible are economic, efficient and buildable
• survey findings are correctly identified, conclusions correctly drawn and appropriate recommendations made
• Undertake outline, scheme and detailed design as appropriate on individual projects
