Senior Structural Engineer

We've got an exciting opportunity in Toowoomba, Australia with our clients, a consulting engineering firm, who are looking for an individual with UK-based experience to join their team as a Senior Structural Engineer!

Our client specialises in Civil, Structural, Hydraulic and Infrastructure Engineering including Project Planning working in a variety of different sectors.

The successful Senior Structural Engineer will be offered:

• A basic annual salary of £72,000 - £82,000

Working hours:

As a Senior Structural Engineer, you'll be required to work Monday to Friday - 8 hours a day

Senior Structural Engineer requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in Consulting Engineering
• Experience with site inspections
• Exceptional report writing skills
• Experience in the design of concrete, steel, fibre composites and timber
• A proactive attitude and self-management of time
• Excellent communication skills
• Driver's license

As a Senior Structural Engineer, your role will involve the following:

• Participate in the initial planning and bidding processes, including reviewing environmental factors, government regulations, construction costs and risk analysis reports
• Making calculations and providing technical advice on materials
• Managing projects - roughly 6-7 at a time and liaising with relevant professional staff throughout the whole project
• Mentor junior staff in the structural team
• Completing thorough site inspections
• Assist the finance team with invoicing
