Principal Civil Engineer full time, permanent
Location: Leeds Salary: £45,000 - £50,000
We are currently recruiting for an exciting opportunity, to work for a multi-disciplinary Consultancy who take up a wide range of projects all across the UK.
Our client is a well-established firm with over 30 years of experience in the field of Transport Planning, Infrastructure design, Highways and Drainage Design. They work across most sectors - residential, commercial, retail, energy, healthcare and education and public sector. We are looking for an ambitious Principal Civil Engineer who has UK based experience in Infrastructure Design. The right candidate will have experience with both design and management.

As a Principal Civil Engineer you will be responsible for:
- Managing projects, budgets and deadlines
- Assisting junior staff and correcting their designs
- Communicating with suppliers, clients, contractors, directors and authorities
- Negotiation of technical approvals
- Liaising with wider team to ensure co-ordination of the designs,
Key skills for this Principal Civil Engineer role:
- Expert infrastructure design knowledge
- Experience in areas of drainage design, highways design
- Detailed knowledge of Section 38, 278, 184, 185, 104, 106
- Ability to use professional software (AutoCAD, Civils3D, PDS, Microdrainage)
- Excellent communication skills
