Salary: £22-£25k

Job description

Due to an expanding workload, our client is seeking Graduate Civil Engineers for their Infrastructure Design team. Work is spread across several sectors, however, their busiest area is currently the residential market.

Key responsibilities and duties for the Graduate Civil Engineer:

• Provide engineering advice and design input from feasibility through planning and onto construction
• Produce highway and drainage designs, together with associated drawings and calculations for technical approvals and construction
• Liaise with clients and professional team members; both internal and external
• Liaise with highway and water authorities, Lead Local Flood Authorities and other stakeholders to agree design parameters and obtain necessary approvals
• 3D ground modelling to assess cut and fill quantities

Qualifications

• Masters or Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering

Experience

Whilst not essential, experience in the following areas would be advantageous:

• Excellent written, verbal and computer-based communication skills
• AutoCAD software
• Highway and drainage designs knowledge
• Appreciation of flood risk related matters and an awareness of the National Planning
• Policy Framework
• Knowledge of 3D highway design software
• Knowledge of the Design Manual for Roads and Bridges
