Graduate Environmental Analyst / Environmental Engineer(Daylight Analyst, Flood Risk Analyst and Drainage/Water Engineer). The Role: Working for an ambitious and expanding environmental consultancy, opportunities are available for highly competent graduates, ideally with some relevant experience, in any of the company's 3 skill centres (daylight, flood risk and drainage), based in either the London (SE1, near London Bridge) or Kent offices (CT4, near Canterbury). The Head Office is based in Kent, so candidates who are based in London, must be willing to travel to the Kent office, as required, in their first 6 months.

The graduate training programme provides a supportive and structured learning experience, building on the skills you accrued during your academic studies and developing these within in a professional work environment. You will be allocated a dedicated mentor and, working both autonomously and in a team, you will have the opportunity to work on a diverse range of projects (frequently not possible within larger corporations), liaising with clients, analysing and solving problems and advising clients accordingly, preparing technical reports and getting involved in all areas of project management. Your input to the team will help to contribute towards the successful expansion of the consulting practice and enhance the environmental services offered.

Salary and Benefits: Starting salary will be between £23,000 and £35,000 dependant on experience. Graduate Environmental Analyst / Environmental Engineer (Daylight Analyst, Flood Risk Analyst and Drainage/Water Engineer). The Person: We are looking for a highly competent graduate with a relevant degree (and possibly a Masters) in science, engineering or the built environment (geography, geology, civil engineering, architecture, earth or environmental sciences or similar). As well as having a good technical knowledge of your subject area, you will have the following skills:
  • A self-motivated, team player
  • A strong communicator (both verbally and in writing)
  • Client focused with the ability to build strong client relationships
  • Highly analytical, capable of identifying solutions and solving problems and possessing excellent attention to detail.
  • Highly organised and commercially astute with the ability to work to deadlines, manage your workload independently, and work efficiently considering timelines and budgets
  • Experience of working with relevant technical software packages
  • Take an enthusiastic and proactive approach to learning new things and to adopting new technologies and methods.
