Senior Geotechnical Engineer

I am looking to speak with a Senior Geotechnical Engineer situated in Leeds to come and join a prestigious market leading multi-disciplinary consultancy working on complex large-scale design projects both locally in the UK and internationally.

My client are looking for a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to increase their team to meet the growing demands in both the infrastructure sector, particularly rail, highways and water. They also work on massive projects in the energy sector such as renewables energy both onshore and offshore as well as oil, gas and nuclear power.

This is a fantastic opportunity to take a leading role in their current portfolio of prestigious geotechnical projects, as I am looking for an engineer with passion and enthusiasm to join an evolving team who are always striving to be the best in the industry. The successful candidate should have the flare to put their own stamp on the existing and future geotechnical design projects.

Senior Geotechnical Engineer specification:

Ideally first class degree in Civil Engineering, Geology or Geotechnical Engineering along with a relative MSc in Geotechnical Engineering. Soil Mechanics or Engineering Geology.
Approaching chartership with the ICE, I would also consider a chartered engineer.
Well-rounded knowledge of Geotechnical Engineering and design principals
Understanding of foundations, bearing capacities, settlement calculations and recommendations.
Ideally experience of geotechnical design of slopes, earthworks, foundations, retaining walls, embedded walls, piles / pile groups, soil nails, ground improvement, and other ground works.
