Renewable Energy Design Engineer
Offices based in Liskeard - Commutable from Bodmin, Wadebridge, Bude, Launceston
£24,000 - £34,000 + Progression + Training + Pension + Bonus + Holidays
Are you an electrical engineer graduate or come from a design background looking to join an industry leading company that will train and progress your career into the renewable energy industry.

This company are multifaceted consultants and installers of renewable systems, specialising in Solar PV, Air source/Ground source heat pumps and Battery storage. They have exciting plans for future projects and are now looking to expand their design team to facilitate success moving forward.
In this role you will be developing installation specifications and drawings while creating initial designs and quotations of renewable systems. You will be supporting the development of project schedules and detailed plans while having the opportunity to learn new design software and other renewable energy technologies.
The ideal candidate is an engineering graduate or comes from a design background, having experience at dealing with lots of projects at once.
This is an excellent opportunity for an aspiring design engineer to be part of a renewable company that look after their staff, train them up on the newest products and progress that right candidate to self-develop and play a vital role in the success of the business.
The Role:
- Renewable designs of Heat pumps, solar PV and Battery storage
- Calculating performance metrics such as CO2 emissions, power outputs, energy and hetac loss
- Tracking the cost and schedule of projects and reporting on this.
- Securing third-party planning and grid connection approvals.
The Person:
- Comes from a design background or an engineering graduate.
- Good understanding of CAD programmes
- Passionate about renewable energy
