We are looking for a talented Graduate Geo-Environmental Engineer who is ready to take the next step in their career in a role that will see you supporting a growing, highly qualified team on a range of exciting projects.

Based in Northampton, my client is a dynamic, modern, multi-discipline construction consultancy. They pride themselves on a comprehensive service, which offers the residential, commercial, leisure, retail, health, educational, and transportation sectors of the market.

They have asked us to help them find a self-motivated and engaged Graduate Geo-Environmental Engineer to join the growing team in their Northampton office on a full time, permanent basis. The successful candidate will have a BSc in Geology, Geography or Environmental Science related degree.

The ideal candidate will be a team player with the ability to perform effectively within changing environments and will demonstrate a strong desire to achieve, setting high standards for themselves and others.

Responsibilities:

Working with and to become a geotechnical professional
Working both outside and office based throughout the year
Applicants will be expected to work on site in varying locations around the UK
Soil and rock logging to current geotechnical standards, including laboratory scheduling
Participating in a variety of geotechnical and geo-environmental projects for both external clients and for other teams within the company.
Assist with desk duties and design/scoping of investigations
Site supervision of ground investigations, earthworks, and construction activities
Collating geological/geotechnical data and report writing
Managing site activities and subcontractorsKey requirements:

A minimum BSc in Geology, Geography or Environmental Science related degree
No industry experience necessary
Computer literate in Microsoft Office including Excel and Word
Must hold a full clean driving license
Must be prepared to travel UK wide and stay away from home on occasion
Able to work independently and as part of a team
Have good written English
Enjoy working outside as well as in an office environment
