Responsibilities:
  • Helping businesses standardise civil design drawings and construction methodology.
  • Collaborating with the commercial manager to ensure that the proposed civil scope complies with the requirements of the employer, D.N.O., T.S.O., I.E.C., and British standards.
  • Provide civil design assistance to the tendering team.
  • Development of detailed civil design specifications for civil design consultants to follow and execute.
  • Civil design assurance and verification against ERs, network operator policies, design specifications and planning conditions, and local authority specifications.
  • Real-time response to civil design site-related queries.
  • Providing ITP and Tender packs to the civil construction team.
  • As an in-house function, assisting in the development of civil design.
  • Conduct periodic site visits with local council and civils teams to ensure proper scope of works.

Essential criteria:
  • Autocad experience
  • 10 years or more of contracting/consulting experience
  • Strong numeracy skills
  • Experience and competency with IT systems.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Full clean driving licence
  • Project management experience
  • HV/EHV experience
  • Experience working with IDNOs, DNOs, or ICPs
  • Working to BSEN, IEC, IEEE, and CENELEC Standards
  • Highly organised with the ability to prioritise
  • Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
  • Ability to effectively problem solve and think outside the box
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with ease
  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and goal-oriented
  • Proactive nature and initiative-taking approach to work tasks
  • Willingness to develop and learn new skills
  • Intermediate MS Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
