The Energy Division at ARM are currently recruiting for an exciting opportunity for a Principal Civil & Construction Engineer to work on a long-term contract basis with a leading client in the Nuclear industry.
What you'll be doing
- Working on the BEP project
- Answer technical query requests for information and resolve non-conformance
- Produce structural calculations and details that are necessary for site modifications (with the approval of the permanent works team)
- Ensure the engineering design intent is met as per the drawings and specifications
- Review contractor method statements, inspection plans etc.
- Review temporary works designs
- Face to face interfacing with construction to understand requirements, issues and work priorities, assessing any impacts against the design and scope of work required
- Regular interfacing of construction issues with the permanent works design team
- Awareness of CDM Regulations and duties as a Designer.
- Nuclear experience preferred but not essential
What do you need to succeed?
- Degree qualified, preferably Chartered Engineer (MIStructE or MICE) with post-Chartership experience.
- A pro-active, self-starter with good communication, analytical and team working skills.
- Understanding of CDM Regulations.
- Experienced in Nuclear industry ideally
Details of the contract
- 12+ Month Contract
- Paying between £48 - £54 p/h (Inside IR35/Umbrella)
- Hybrid working available - 3 days per week at Sellafield site, OR from office in Westlakes
