Our Engineering Design Team are looking for a Project Engineer due to company growth. We are a well-established supplier to the food, beverage, brewery, bakery, dairy and utility industries throughout the UK.
Reporting to the Project Manager, you will be responsible for supporting delivery of start to completion of projects.

Reporting to the Project Manager, you will be responsible for supporting delivery of start to completion of projects.
Qualifications
- Project Engineering experience working in a team delivering successful projects.
- A project management qualification such as PRINCE2 or APM.
- Educated to degree level or have equivalent experience.
- Experience with computer aided design (CAD) tools and applications.
- Must hold UK driving licence
Main duties
- Provide administrative support to the Project Managers.
- Support project initiation- check feasibility, calculate budget and define project milestones.
- Read, understand, and communicate the client specifications.
- Support multiple projects at any one-time end to end- which includes coordinating the project and keeping the project on budget, with oversight from a Project Manager.
- Create visual project plans.
- Carry out preconstruction site assessments detailing all aspects of CDM and EHS regulations.
- Management subcontractors and resources remote from the core project team.
- Develop strong relationships with clients and members of the internal cross-functional team.
- Report regularly to project manager and client.
- Work collaboratively with internal functions to ensure success.
- Identify, communicate, and escalate risks to ensure project delivery is on time.
- Communicate clearly and effectively, internally, and externally, adapting communication skills as required.
- Evaluate project successes and challenges on post contract review to enhance learning for future projects.
Skills
- Knowledge of Food & Beverage, pharmaceutical, Industrial & chemical industry.
- Experience in the design and delivery of medium to large scale projects.
- Project / business management experience, ideally within the food, beverage, brewery, bakery, dairy and utility industries.
- Experience delivering projects through the full project life cycle.
- Experience managing and integrating multidisciplinary projects.
- Experience managing Project Control function covering Planning, Estimating, Financial Control and commercial management disciplines.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Experience of dealing with clients, building strong working relationships. Commercially focused.
- Experience of working in a multi-Discipline environment and good understanding of co-ordination and interfaces with other disciplines.
- Ensure compliance of the equipment with Engineering standards and quality procedures
