This Leeds based consultancy is a specialist in their market, and provides services to businesses across a range of industry sectors, in the UK and abroad.
Over the last few years they have taken on 13 graduates- and 12 are still there, which is an exceptional record, particularly as 5 of them joined during lockdown. The feedback from those graduates is that management are supportive, everyone gets on well together, and they have different problems to solve every day - which makes the work very interesting.
You will be working within the water industry for the main water utility companies, and modelling the water networks using the company's in-house industry-leading software (they invented it themselves). You can then identify any areas of concern, or potential issues, for example with surges of water. Then make recommendations to the clients so they can address it.
Full training will, of course, be provided
A recent graduate, your degree should be engineering based- ideally Civil or Chemical, but other such as Aerospace or Mechanical are also ok (though Electrical or Electronic not so much). You should be able to demonstrate good numerical reasoning and attention to detail. If you have some Hydraulics knowledge that would be ideal, but if not it can be trained.
You will gain good engineering experience and quickly develop specialised knowledge.
You will be office based, but in time there may be the opportunity to visit clients sites- and there could also be some scope to work from home part of the time.
There is a salary review after 6 months, so all being well you will get a pay rise.
The location is north-west Leeds, and has good bus routes. It's also near to Bradford.
(The role and business will be discussed in more depth with candidates who are a good initial match).
