Sructural Project Engineer, Central London ( With Flexibility & Home Working), £45,000 - £55,000 per annum plus pension, bonus & benefits;
This successful and growing building structures practice is looking for a senior building structures engineer with a view to further progression to associate. The practice was established by a respected industry figure to deliver a creative and technically advanced service with more emphasis on collaboration and client care, this approach has fuelled their growth and success. High levels of productivity are achieved by integrating the latest technologies and BIM is used to its full potential on all projects. Your role will be to assist in the delivery of their project workload, typically educational, residential and commercial schemes. In addition they have expertise in construction engineering, working with contractors to improve the buildability and economy of existing designs. They are a leading exponent of "DFMA" (Design for Manufacture & Assembly).
Your Role: Reporting to the managing director, duties will include, scheme design, design management, providing guidance to junior engineers and technicians and regular client liaison. Your role will evolve to include client advisory, fee negotiation and practice management duties, leading to promotion to associate.
Home Working & Flexibility: The practice embraced and embedded flexible working upon its inception. Employees have considerable control over their home and office working patterns.
Your Profile: Your background should have provided you with steel and concrete design experience with exposure to the other commonly used materials. You will need to be a highly motivated engineer with the ambition to develop professionally as the company grows. Experience and ability is of prime importance, however you will need a good degree in civil or structural engineering and four or more years structural design experience. You should ideally have an interest in pursuing chartership or incorporation through the ICE or IStructE, support and mentorship will be provided.
