Introduction
Astute Technical Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Performance Engineer to join the Operations Department of an Energy from Waste Power Station.
The Performance Engineer will be responsible for monitoring plant performance, identifying issues contributing to commercial losses and providing actions to improve the commercial performance of the Power Station.
Role and Responsibilities
Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for:
Developing, maintaining, and monitoring the site's process performance
Monitoring plant performance against the original design specification to identify and rectify shortfalls.
Fault find operating issues and provide recommendation to operations, maintenance, and engineering teams.
Developing improvement strategies to provide solutions to issues.
Developing operating procedures to help deliver a consistent approach against performance and efficiency targets
Contributing to the enforcement of Health and Safety policies and procedures
Monitoring plant emissions and consumable consumption
Using the company's asset management system to log and track any work activities being carried out.
Developing, implementing, and overseeing plant performance improvement projects
Produce plant performance reports for the management teamFull list of responsibilities can be sent upon request.
Qualifications, Experience and Knowledge
To be considered for this opportunity, you must meet some of the key requirements below:
A degree in a relevant engineering discipline (essential)
Prior experience working in large process engineering environments such as Power, Petrochemicals, COMAH sites, etc
Prior knowledge of DCS systems and trend software to analyse data
Experience carrying out performance modelling which could include heat and mass balance calculations, etc
Good stakeholder, both internal and external, relationship management
Advanced IT skills in MS OfficeSalary & Benefits
A competitive basic salary which will be dependent on experience
A performance related bonus
