Graduate Civil Engineer

I am recruiting a Civil Engineer who has graduated in the last 2 or 3 years and so has some practical experience in design (consultancy) or construction.

The role is offered with a salary ranging from £30 - £35K

You will be working within an innovative business regenerating previously unusable land for the creation of new parks and open spaces.

The person

*

have a degree in Civil Engineering (or similar) with a knowledge of geotechnics, hydrology and hydrogeology

*

be a good communicator (both written and oral)

*

be a motivated self starter

*

a minimum of 2 years of previous experience of civil engineering as consultant or contractor

*

experience with a range of associated software packages

The role

*

managing the construction of earthworks including capping and landscaping, installation of drainage, materials recovery and re-use, setting out and managing sub-contractors

*

contamination management including, soil sampling and leachate testing

*

preparing as built drawings and documents for discharge of planning conditions and recovery permits

*

assist with preparation of details in support of prospective work including design and management of specialist sub-consultants
