Project Engineer (Civil and Marine) - Belfast

This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing consultancy that has been awarded a number of projects within its Civil engineering division linked to the marine investment across the country.

Location: Belfast (hybrid model - 2/3 days in the office / 2/3 days from home)

Salary: £35,500 basic to £40,000 basic

We are seeking a Project Engineer with suitable relevant experience on Civil Engineering projects and ideally Maritime based infrastructure. Projects could cover any of the marine disciplines such as Ports, harbours, new terminals, re-enforced concreate, sea erosion, increased freight capacity etc..

The ideal candidate will have experienced both Design and Site based roles, even if its while undertaking an industrial placement. Although a junior role you will still need to have the technical capabilities to be able to read drawings and ensure the drawings are being completed correctly out on site.

Day to day duties will vary but could include:

• Providing technical support aiding in the delivery of a project including analysis, design and technical review of drawing while out on site with the delivery team.
• Writing technical reports - Progress, changes, design flaws etc..
• Liaison with other members of the Design team and attendance at meetings

• Supporting staff in the administration of individual projects
• Communicating with clients and other stakeholders as required

Qualifications & experience:

• Civil engineering Degree or equivalent
• Design experience - Even if it's while on your industrial placement
• Site experience - Even if its while on your industrial placement
• Full UK driving licence

With this role being a mixture of technical / design understanding and site based stakeholder interface you need some exposure to both elements.
