Site Agent, Civil Engineering Somerset
Our client is a general Civil Engineering Contactor, established for over 40-years with a turnover of £120m+. They have successfully delivered schemes across the UK and Europe with a strong client base of international Tier:1 main contractors
This organisation undertakes general Civil Engineering works packages, mostly sub-surface including: Installation Of Duct Networks, Precast Chambers, Pressurised Systems, Drainage. RC Foundations & Slabs, as well as Roads, Hard & Soft Landscaping, Utilities & Power.
Our client now needs to add a Site Agent to their delivery team for a project in Frome, Somerset. The project comprises a package of heavy civils and steel frame / clad project, part of an industrial station construction with a Value of £20m +
As a Site Agent, you will be responsible in receiving instruction on behalf of the company, issue instructions and provide direction in order to ensure the successful delivery of projects assigned to the Agent by Senior Management.
Key Role Deliverables:
Participate in tender, preconstruction and Construction as and when required
Complete Understanding of all the project objectives
Build, develop, support and maintain the team
Build and maintain a good relationship with the client and all external parties
Monitor progress with up to date programmes so that timely clear direction can be given to the team on critical construction/financial targets
Develop the Tender Programme into a construction programme
Development, Management and Maintenance of Site Management Plan
Identify and evaluate risks, determine and manage actions, maintain Risk Register
Manage and control changes to scope, requirements, personnel
Monitor progress against cost plans, programmes and quality/environmental plans
Manage stakeholder engagement
Develop and protect our subcontractor relationships and contribute to our recognition within the industry
Manage the design
Any other reasonable requests as required by Management
Minimum Qualifications/Experience:
HNC/HND
Proven technical and project management abilities
CSCS Card
SMSTS and SEATS
Sufficient experience required within construction
Essential & Desirable skills:
Computer literate
Strong organisational and management skill
Knowledge of the requirements and implementation of CDM regulations
Ability to produce Work Package Plans, Task Briefing Sheets, and implement safe systems of work
Detailed knowledge of Safety, Quality and Environmental issues relevant to the project environment
Civils experience essential, Steel Frame and MEP desirable
In return our client if offering a basic salary (circa £60k - £65k) + package including, car / travel, pension, healthcare, bonus ++
