An excellent opportunity to for a highly experienced Structural Engineer most likely at Principal/ Associate level to join a multi-disciplinary consultancy who have been operating across the UK for over 25 years . The company undertake a diverse and exciting range of large scale civil/structural engineering projects with a background in Industrial, Petrochemical, Chemical and Energy sectors.

In this role you will be leading and co-ordinating the regional North West office of this established consultancy as they expand and develop their team across the United Kingdom. You will be highly technically competent and be able to oversee and coordinate technical elements of large scale across your team while providing sound leadership and managing risk. You will also be developing business across the North West with support from the head office in Scotland and building on your team to expand appropriately across the coming years. Another key responsibility of this position is taking ownership of project delivery in completing projects from conception through to detailed design. The progression available from this role will likely lead to a Directorship within the business after a few successful years in this position.

The ideal candidate will be a Chartered Civil/ Structural Engineer with at least 15 years of relevant experience and had clearly demonstrated their competence as a commercially aware manager. They will want to progress their career in a highly successful and busy firm who supports continued training and progression for their staff. The candidate can come from an industrial or buildings background, both will be considered.

The Role:
  • Structural Engineering Manager
  • Leading a team on various technical design projects
  • Coordinating key account management and being commercially aware
  • Mitigating any risk in the business
  • Confidently communicate progress and developments with senior leadership in the consultancy

    The person:
  • Highly experienced technically competent Engineer with 12-15 years experience minimum
  • Chartered by IStructE or ICE
  • Proven leadership and management experience
  • Motivated and ambitious to take on a senior position and develop over the coming years
