A fantastic opportunity for an experienced leader of Energy Engineering to join a thriving independent sustainability team in their London office.

Due to continuing success and ambitious growth plans for my client, this fantastic opportunity has opened up within their rapidly growing Energy and Sustainability division in London and will be responsible for building on my client's existing energy service offering to provide advanced engineered solutions for their clients to meet their energy targets, across the diverse range of projects within both the new and existing build markets.

Responsibilities & Tasks

Directing and overseeing all energy related functions in the UK, including but not limited to the following:
· Thermal dynamic modelling (in IES-VE) at all project RIBA stages
· Nabers Ratings (Design for Performance, DfP and Energy Rating)
· Development Energy Strategies
· Energy Auditing
· Energy Performance Certificates (EPCs, DECs)
· Decarbonisation strategies
· Line management of the UK energy team
· Develop and regularly monitor the energy team budget, financial forecasts, and other metrics to evaluate project performance and overall performance of division regionally
· Overseeing commercial management of energy projects (invoicing, VO's)
· Responsible for building team, reviewing staff performance, coaching, mentoring employees, and driving training initiatives and continuous technical improvement in the division
· Driving quality and innovation on projects
· Providing technical leadership across the energy service lines
· Maintain overall responsibility for project delivery to high levels of Client satisfaction for all projects within the team
· Accountability for client relationship management for AESG Clients business-wise
· Lead business development activities to achieve revenue targets for energy team

Ideally You Will Have The Following

· BEng/BSc/BArch in relevant disciplines (engineering, architecture etc.)
· Mechanical Engineering background preferred
· Further education desirable
· Energy Assessor (ESOS, EPC, Nabers) a plus
· At least 10 years and above of related working experience

Skills
· Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communications skills, adept at dealing with and engaging people at all levels
· Skilled at establishing and cultivating strong relationships with peers; across different levels of the organisation and externally
· Mechanical Engineering Design, Energy Strategies, Retrofit and New Build, Commercial and Residential
· Experience leading a team of 10+ people, experience with business development and work winning
· IES-VE
· Tech-savvy
· Problem-solving aptitude
· Critical thinking skills
· Well organised
