Quantity Surveyor -Required for my client in there Leeds office. The Quantity Surveyor will be working on a variety of projects within the Rail Industry including Protection Works, Station fit outs, Earthworks, canopies, platforms and many more. This opportunity has arisen due to the successful bidding on a large number of frameworks.
The Ideal Quantity Surveyor will have a background ideally within Rail however a broad knowledge of the Civil Engineering Industry will also be considered. The projects the Quantity Surveyor will be working will vary from £500k up to £2. 5m. The ideal Quantity Surveyor will be degree qualified.
The successful Quantity Surveyor will be working on delivering work winning activities within the company and also developing existing clients, preparing estimates and quotations from clients designs and working closely with various divisions within the company. It is essential for this role that the Quantity Surveyor has a previous experience of a minimum of three years in a similar role.

Quantity Surveyor - Position Overview
- Commercial Responsibility for multiple projects
- Manage train and provide support to members of the commercial team
- Supply relevant commercial information/reports to the Senior QS
- Monitor contract compliance against statutory requirements
- Develop client relationships
- Attend all commercial meetings internal/external relevant to multiple projects
- Oversee/monitor contract costs against agreed budgets
- Monitor the use of cost and financial reporting systems
- Prepare and submit cash flow forecasting as required
- Carry out monthly/periodic financial reviews (CVR's)
- Oversee and monitor the production, submission and agreement of final accounts
- Feasibility advice on new tenders
Quantity Surveyor -Position Requirements
- Degree within Quantity Surveying
- Experience within Rail industry or general Civil Engineering
- At least 2 years' experience
- UK Driving Licence
- RICS / CES Desirable
