Job Title: Principal Geotechnical Engineer

Location: Leeds

Salary: £45,000 - £60,000

A market leading, multidisciplinary engineering consultancy, located in Leeds, are looking to expand their geotechnical team and bring in a highly competent Principal Geotechnical Engineer. You will work with a highly skilled team throughout the inception, design and construction stages on newly won projects in the rail, commercial and infrastructure sectors.

The main responsibilities of this Principal Geotechnical Engineer role include:
  • Mentoring and training junior staff
  • Developing client base and business development
  • Project management
  • Writing and reviewing interpretative reports, ground investigation reports and geotechnical design reports
  • Analysis and design of slopes, water retaining structures, retaining walls, earthworks, and foundations

It is essential for applicants to hold a degree in geology/civil engineering, have a full UK Drivers Licence, UK consultancy work experience and be located local to Leeds. The successful Principal Geotechnical Engineer should be chartered or working towards chartership.
