Experienced Civil/Structural Engineer - Rail - Monday to Friday - Salary is DOE - Permanent - Based in Ipswich, Suffolk
Hales Group are happy to be working on behalf of a great client based in Ipswich. We are seeking an ambitious Senior Structural Engineer or Associate/Principal Structural Engineer to join our expanding team and assist our Associate Director. The role would suit those who have experience working within an Engineering consultancy environment who are now seeking their next challenge.
The role would be suited to a driven individual who is personable and able to communicate well with colleagues and fellow professionals. The candidate should also be versatile and have the ability to think on their feet.

The Role and Duties
Recent project work includes extensive inspections and reporting, in some cases on high-risk structures, platform reconstruction, canopy refurbishment, new depots, car parks, bridge reconstructions and other station works.
Responsibilities
Manage projects from conception through to construction stage
Carrying out design work in various materials
Attend client and site meetings
Undertaken surveys/site Inspections
Assist with staff training and mentoring of trainees and graduates
Support the Associate Director with marketing activities and office operations (Principle Level)
Provide cover for the Associate Director (Principle Level)
Requirements
Engineering Degree or equivalent
Chartered or near Chartered (Incorporated status would also be considered)
Ability to clearly communicate and interpret instructions
Experience of managing and leading technical teams
Desire to contribute with company development
Track record of delivering projects through all design stages and construction
Full driving licence
Maintain current client relationships and seek new opportunities (Principle Level)
Be commercially aware and able to assist with bid writing (Principle Level)
