We have over 150 employees that we are proud to have represent us, operating from our offices in Manchester, Belfast, Dublin, and Glasgow. As our business grows from strength to strength, we are now looking to further extend our team by recruiting an experienced process engineer who has a recent background in energy transition technologies to be based from our Stockport or Glasgow office and play a key role in our ambitious expansion plans.
As a senior process engineer, you will have:
* A good degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent field)
* Ideally Chartered Engineer status
* Experience gained from engineering consultancy, OEM, contracting, or manufacturing environments
* Experience of working in one or more of the following industries - energy, oil and gas, waste management, industrial gases, or fine chemicals
* Experience with process plant concept design development, pre-FEED and FEED studies, and detailed process plant system design
* Working knowledge of emerging 'transition' technologies such as CO2 sequestration and storage, hydrogen production and distribution, cryogenic energy storage processes, or biofuels production
* Prior experience of process simulation packages, such as MATLAB, Simulink, Hysys, Aspen Plus or similar
* Detailed working knowledge of industrial process components such as pumps, valves, fans, compressors, heat exchangers, tanks, pressure vessels, and instruments etc
* Ability to prepare and review typical process plant documentation, i.e., heat & mass balances, PFDs, P&IDs, basis of design documents, process calculations, functional descriptions, data sheets and cause/effect charts
* Good understanding of the principles of process plant layout
* Working knowledge of quality control systems applicable to process plant design, manufacturing, and construction
* Good knowledge of process safety principles
* Prepare job plans, write Client proposal documents, estimate manhour requirements, and fee estimates
* The ability and willingness to travel both in the UK and occasionally overseas
