Role: Inspection Engineer - Water
Location: Edinburgh
Type: Permanent / Full-time
Salary: Up to £38,000
Carrington West are delighted to be working alongside our client, a leading global professional services firm and consultancy, operating on behalf of Scottish Water.
They have an exciting new opportunity for an Inspection Engineer to work for the Asset Management team to inspect and feedback on the condition of assets and infrastructure to achieve the goals of the water technical business streams across the UK.
An Inspection Engineer is expected to be capable of successfully inspecting and reporting on water and sewage infrastructure assets. Each inspection report will capture feature and relevant information related to the provision of health & safety measures and structural condition.
Requirements:
Health and safety culture
Several years' experience in Civil/Structural Engineering Inspection and Water site work would be preferrable
Experience in Inspecting structural features, pipe bridges, pipe tunnels, along a pipeline would also be beneficial
Civil/Structural Engineering Inspection skillsets from other utilities will be considered
IT skills essential as all inspection reporting is electronic
Working to policies and procedures
Familiarity with the MS 365 suite of programs
Must always communicate openly and honestly
Willingness to learn
Solution-focused and Collaborative approach
Contribute to a well-rounded and highly skilled team to help meet KPIs and grow the business
Execute additional tasks to meet team Asset Management framework objectives
