Graduate Structural Engineer (Steel Buildings / Modular construction / Light Gauge Framing)

We are delighted to be recruiting a Graduate Structural Engineer to join a well-established and market leading engineering business who specialise in the design, manufacture, and installation of buildings/structures, mainly of modular/light gauge framing construction methods (cold rolled and hot rolled hybrid structures).

The successful Graduate Structural Engineer will join the existing Engineering team and work on variety of projects whilst receiving on the job training and developing skills and experience to serve as a foundation for future progression within the business.

Graduate Engineer Duties will evolve as you progress but will include:
•Working alongside the experienced structural engineering team to learn and develop skills relevant to the role.
•Assisting with understanding client requirements /concepts and converting these in to fully engineered, practical designs that can be manufactured and erected.
•Under supervision, produce structural engineering calculations for steel section sizes, frame design and connection details. Hot and cold rolled steel.
•Communicating with drawing office and other departments as required.

Graduate Structural Engineer requirements:
•Professional Engineering qualification
•Interest in pursuing a career in steelwork design/engineering.
•Good organisation and problem solving skills.
•Good time keeping.
•Live in/within a commutable distance of the office, or be prepared to relocate.
•Must be eligible to work in the UK on a permanent basis.
