Salary: In the range of £28,000.00 to £35,000.00 plus per annum, dependent upon candidate and experience. Plus non-contributory Employer's pension
scheme 10% salary. Over time is not paid (see bonus note below).

Job Type: Permanent, Full Time, 37.5 hrs a week, flexible office / remote working
Qualifications: Educated to BEng - Graduate degree in Civil Engineering (or equivalent) or HNC with 3+ years' experience will be considered
Experience: 3 years post qualification (or relevant experience 5+ years). Working towards completion of IPD, or nearing sign off for Incorporated Engineer status with a relevant professional body (ICE).
Annual Leave: 25 days; plus discretionary Director's day at Christmas
Bonus: Paid in December dependent upon company performance and at Director's discretion.
Duties: Working in a small and friendly office of transport planners and civil
engineers, flexibility to carry out a range of tasks will be required. They will
also have an eye for detail with good presentation and communication skills
and the ability to work in a close-knit team.

The role will involve the supporting the detailed design and delivery of
highway and drainage schemes for a wide range of clients and projects, from
concept through to completion of construction, including the preparation of
detailed engineering design submissions for Section 38/278 and Section
104/106/185 Agreement schemes across a range of major and minor
projects.

Knowledge and experience of contract documentation, including conditions
of contract, specifications, methods of measurement, bills of quantities and
contract administration would be beneficial - but not essential at this stage
as training will be given.

Candidates will need to demonstrate a working knowledge and experience in
highways design and general civil engineering projects, with reference to
appropriate design software (AutoCAD; PDS, Site3D modelling or similar;
Micro Drainage / Flow) and design standards (DMRB; Manual for Streets;
Local Highway Authority Design Guides; drainage design guidance (DCG);
TSRGD).

Report writing skills will be an additional benefit, in providing supportive input
towards Flood Risk Assessment / Drainage Strategy reports in support of
planning applications.

The role will suit someone with an inquiring mind and a desire to learn new
and varied skills, working towards Incorporated Engineer status with a
relevant professional body (ICE). We operate an informal structure, and
