Connect Appointments are recruiting Water Treatment Engineer for our North East based client on a full-time permanent basis. Our client is a leading specialist water treatment company with experience and expertise in handling and managing the complexities of water treatment since 1987, their customer base includes hospitality, leisure, manufacturing, water treatment and engineering sectors across the country.
The Water Treatment Engineer will be required to work individually and as part of a team. Flexibility for this role is essential as some travelling around the country, overnight stays and limited weekend overtime work as required. Experience within the water industry and L8 is required with City and Guilds Legionella Risk assessor qualifications for domestic, hospitality, and leisure sites. You will be liaising with clients and therefore an incredibly professional manner is vital.
The successful candidate must have 2 year's experience along with:-
Experience of closed system analytical testing and remediation.
Experience of working in compliance with ACOP L8 guidelines.
Dead leg removals, TMV installations, tank installations and other plumbing jobs.
The ability to act as a senior role and mentor / train more junior members of staff.
To carry out tank inspections and closed system analysis
To take water samples
To carry out temperature testing
Experience in cleaning and chlorination's or Water storage tanks/Cooling Towers
Experience of TMV Servicing
Adhering to tight deadlines & managing workload effectivelyThe ideal candidate will also have a plumbing-based qualification, outstanding interpersonal skills, good verbal and written communication, full UK driving license and flexibility to work overtime.
What to expect from the role:
Salary would be £26,000 - £28,000
Overtime rate would be paid after 40 hours
Monday to Friday - 40 hours per week
