STRUCTURAL ENGINEERContract (Inside IR35)6 monthsHybrid or Fully RemoteMOD/DEFENCE£negotiableAdvanced Resource Managers are pleased to be supporting a global and award winning design engineering consultancy, to hire a contract Structural Engineer, to join their South West UK Design Office for an initial period of 6 months. If you are a Structural Engineer and you would like to be considered for this post, you will hold some or most of the following qualifications, background and experience :- Degree in Structural or Civil Engineering.- MIStructE or MICE or working towards chartership.- Designing structures in steel concrete, timber or masonry to Eurocodes.- Using structural analysis design software. - Project background in UK Defence Projects, Submarine Facilities Design or Nuclear Projects (Satisfying Safety Cases)- Seismic Design and Detailing (Steel and Concrete to US Codes)- Maritime Design (BS 6349)- Heavy Civils Design- Building Design- Acting as a Discipline LeadThe role will allow you to :- Use your technical skills and knowledge on a wide range of building structures.- Develop conceptual solutions to problems through to detailed design.- Contribute to the development of the multi-disciplined project team's approach.- Assist in the execution of projects within defined design and cost parameters.- Undertake research, data collection and presentation of information.- Present results to clients under supervision of a lead designer.- Comply with Quality and Technical Assurance Procedures.- Work in compliance with BIM standards, Digital Plan of Work and the project BIM Execution plan- Hold site visits and attend design team meetings.- Assist/mentor the development of apprentice and less experienced staff.
