I am currently recruiting on behalf of a key client based in the Northwest of England, who are specialist engineering and project house within the chemical & process industry. They are looking for an experienced Senior Civil & Structural Design Engineer on a 6 - 12-month contract.

The successful senior C&S design engineer will be required to conduct the following duties:

v Develop engineering solutions for a variety of Civil and Structural Infrastructure, including Oil, Gas, Petrochemical and Power sectors

v Design & Analysis calculations to Eurocodes for both superstructure and foundations

v Prepare reports, design sketches and layouts

v Structural Inspections

v Develop Basis of Design & BOMs at FEED stages.

v Utilise CAD for design intent sketch production

v Site Survey's - ability to undertake detailed site surveys of existing works.

v Liaise with clients, project, and construction managers

v Work within a multi-discipline engineering team producing integrated engineering solutions simultaneously.

v Supervise designers.

v Act as a lead engineer with client interface in single discipline projects

The successful design engineer will need to have the following attributes:

v Understanding of drainage design

v Familiarity with federated models such as Navisworks

v Understanding of pricing construction for FEED, using norms and vendors

v BEng (Hons) in Civil or Structural Engineering

v Preferably be Chartered with IStructE or ICE or working towards it
