Graduate Structural Engineer

Bennett and Game are seeking a Graduate Civil / Structural Engineer for our client based in Bristol. Our client is a well-established temporary works design consultancy providing a bespoke service to their clients across the UK.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with extremely experience engineers ranging from 10 to 45 years of experience that can offer a Graduate Engineer the skills, knowledge and insight required to progress as a professional.

Graduate Structural Engineer Position Overview

• Preparation of technical drawings using AutoCAD, from preliminary drafts to construction
• Preparation of supporting calculations using frame analysis software, in addition to excel
• and hand methods.
• Preparation of designer's risk assessments.
• Liaising with clients and contractors to develop appropriate design solutions.
• Attending site meetings to gather information and work through /develop client briefs.
• Ensuring compliance with CDM regulations, Work at Height Regulations, British and
• European Standards, Company design procedures and industry best practice.

Graduate Structural Engineer Position Requirements

• BEng/MEng in Structural Engineering or Civil Engineering
• Enthusiastic self-motivated team player with good communication skills
• Strong work ethic and have the ability to work under own initiative.
• A working knowledge of Civils 3D and AutoCAD would be desirable but not essential
• UK Driving Licence
• Local to Bristol

Graduate Structural Engineer Position Remuneration

• Salary: £25k
• Holiday: 25 plus BH
• Pension: 3% Employer contribution
