The Structural Engineer job itself where you will play a key part of the engineering team and be responsible for creating designs that drive their state-of-the-art factory in Somerset. More specifically:

Steel connection design

Frame analysis of steel frame in the temporary state

Value engineering of current steel frame designs

Frame design for tendering/estimating

Streamlining designs to suit unique demands of each project

Working alongside and checking work with other Engineers

Liaising with all internal departments (Drawing Office, Fabrication, Erection, etc.)

Liaising with all members of design team (Engineer, Architect, etc.)

You will have

To be successful as the Structural Engineer you will have experience in steel construction or manufacturing sectors with a healthy mix of the following:

A degree in Civil/Structural Engineering

Chartered membership to ISE or ICE preferred but not essential

Minimum 3 years' experience in Designing steel structures/connections

CAD experience (Tekla experience advantageous)

Good communication will be essential with drawings

Good written and oral communication skills

Excellent analytical, critical thinking and strategic skills

Good standards of accuracy and attention to detail

Good computer skills

Works well on own initiative and as part of a team

Punctual and reliable
